Wearhouse™
It’s not just a warehouse. Our collection of professional women’s clothing and accessories is so epic we have a Wearhouse™! Depending on program needs, these volunteers may sort, inspect, hang, organize, display, and otherwise process and care for our stock. Volunteers can expect to be standing most of the time if able, and some tasks may require general facility cleaning, light lifting, bending, pushing carts, and reaching. Please contact us in advance to arrange for any necessary accommodations. All volunteers for this position must be 18+ years of age, and sign a waiver of liability, or be accompanied by a participating adult for the entirety of the shift. |

Help DFSTC staff provide outreach at community events such as volunteer fairs, corporate and community partner events, and more. Opportunities may be aimed at recruiting clients, volunteers, donors, or all three! This role is best for volunteers who have worked with DFSTC before, and who feel comfortable explaining basic information about the organization. Supplies can generally be picked up and returned at our SLP Wearhouse™ in St. Louis Park. |
Confidence Coach
Do you have Human Resource, supervisory, or professional job search experience you're willing to share to help support and encourage our clients with building their confidence and job search skills? DFSTC provides group (Career Coach Circle) and individual coaching to encourage, support, and provide job search guidance. Clients are assigned to coaches who have completed our Confidence Coach on-boarding process and are actively engaged with our organization. We do our best to match clients and coaches based on background experience, training, and professional network to help clients increase their Positive Network of Support with professional connections. This role is completely virtual through phone and video conference calls. |
Success Express
Meet us on-site at our Success Express to deliver Confidence Kits and programming support to clients in the Twin Cities community. Volunteers welcome clients, provide a service overview, help set goals, and assist new clients with paper or online enrollment, assist with clothing fitting on the Success Express, and other duties as needed. Semi professional dress is preferred with the ability to repeatedly scale a few steep stairs to and from the RV. Volunteers should have excellent communication skills, their own transportation to event site, and be able to stay for the entirety of the shift. Due to the fitting room aspect of these events, we request women for this volunteer role. |

Do you have Human Resource or supervisory experience? Challenge Incarceration Program is a Shakopee Women’s Prison program.
