Former DFSTC client and St Paul native Tameka Jones is an esteemed business owner and community member. A fixture of St Paul's Rondo neighborhood, Jones has a storefront for her cosmetic line Lip Esteem. The plant based, gluten-fee, cruelty-free cosmetic line was born of Jones's desire to give back- she wanted to spend her life helping others. Lip Esteem is her answer to challenging the undue burden of high beauty standards placed on women. Once a feature for which she was bullied, her full lips are now the centerpiece of her business and mission. Lip Esteem is a reminder that women can define their own beauty and worth.
