2025 Success Summit Highlights

Our 2025 Success Summit was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community partners invest their time, resources, and heart. Held the day before our emPower Her 5K, the Summit brought together clients, volunteers, and supporters for a day filled with one-on-one coaching, professional headshots, and confidence-building workshops.

We are deeply grateful to Old National Bank for helping make the event possible through both a generous financial gift and hands-on volunteer support. Their contribution allowed us to offer career advancement services and tangible tools that directly support job seekers in preparing for new opportunities. Their commitment to our mission was visible in every part of the day — from warmly welcoming participants at check-in to offering guidance during mock interviews and resume reviews.

With Old National Bank’s support, we were able to meet clients where they are and provide tools that help move them forward — including professional portraits, personalized coaching, and carefully curated wardrobe pieces from our Wearhouse™. These touchpoints are often the difference between feeling stuck and moving forward with confidence.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day came during a keynote speech by Cassie Van Dyke, a former DFSTC program staff member. Her message of growth, healing, and perseverance resonated deeply with clients and staff alike, reminding us why this work matters.

2025 emPower Her 5K Recap

Together, we raised $38,500 to support our mission!

Our annual emPower Her 5K took place on Saturday, July 26 at the beautiful Como Lakeside Pavilion — and it was one for the books! From early morning setup to high-fives across the finish line, the energy was filled with celebration, purpose, and community.

This event helps fuel our mission at Dress for Success Twin Cities — supporting individuals on their path to economic independence. Proceeds from the 5K help fund programs that provide professional clothing, job search tools, coaching, and confidence-building resources to our clients throughout the year.

We couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers, who helped with setup, registration, cheering, water stations, and more. Your presence makes all the difference!

Emcee shoutout

A special thank you to Maria Lisignoli of WCCO for emceeing the event with such grace and enthusiasm. She brought joy and energy to the morning and kept things flowing beautifully.

Caught on camera

One of our favorite moments from race day? Seeing the 5K featured on WCCO that very morning! Our VP of Development, Megan Meuli, was quick to catch the segment and share it with our team. Watch the clip below to relive a little broadcast magic from the day.
