
Kay has been an active member of the Dress for Success Twin Cities Professional Women's Group for many years. She believes all obstacles are removable with adequate resources, guidance and support.
Kay has earned a Master of Arts Degree from Northeastern Illinois University’s College of Education in Inner City Studies Education; a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Behavioral/Social Science from
DePaul University; an Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Social Science from Loop College.
She strives to serve humanity on her journey to achieving her personal best. Not only does Kay care deeply for the future of our government, and vulnerable populations; she is committed to offering solutions to reach out to urban youth in crisis. With over 15 years of expertise in research, education, orientation, facilitation, leadership training, recruitment, and presentation coaching she has coached and inspired at risk youth to be more effective communicators to enhance their relationships and increase their confidence.
For the past 5 years, she been working as a Reserve Teacher and as a part-time Family Advocate. Kay is an agent for change. In 2008, she was laid off from her job as a Corporate & Securities Paralegal. This is when she decided to make a career change and began working for the Public Education System to make an impact on future generations.
